Job description

We are seeking a skilled digital print operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of full color 3d printers, specifically Mimaki industrial machines for coin production. This role ensures high-quality, beautifully colored designs for the coin collector market.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Digital Print Technician
  • Prepare artwork templates in various formats to support production of custom designed coins using industry-standard tools such as Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Corel graphic programs.
  • Collaborate with production and engraving teams to ensure design templates are feasible and optimized for output with emphasis on quality.
  • Conduct small batch print runs to satisfy customer sampling requirements.
  • Inspect printed products for color accuracy, alignment and overall quality.
  • Operate Mimaki brand Printers using digital print files to produce high quality images on coins.Conduct quality checks as part of a preventive maintenance plan on 3d printer parts and nozzles to ensure high quality prints.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels for ink and production supplies.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices within the industry and make recommendations for process improvements
Preferred Qualifications: Digital Print Technician
  • Experience in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Experience with Mimaki Flatbed Printers
  • Effectively communicate and understand verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • 1 year experience in a digital print role.
