We are seeking a Senior Sustainment Systems Engineer to support a Space Systems Command (SSC) Program Management Office (PMO) located at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), CO. We conduct Operations & Sustainment (O&S) activities for state-of-the-art Military and Commercial Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) systems, providing global secure, survivable and protected communications for our Nationโ€™s warfighters. We are looking for an experienced, proactive Systems Engineer who is a self-starter capable of autonomous, on-the-job, learning/growth while working in a collaborative environment of small teams. The ideal candidate will employ their skills and experience to tackle technical challenges and drive executable solutions for legacy and transitioning strategic and tactical space-based telecommunication capabilities. This opportunity is an engineering management position where the ideal candidate will not only have the required technical acumen, but also the ability to proactively engage and effectively manage technical baselines using established/proven government systems engineering, integration & test (SEIT) processes and procedures to advance O&S activities for legacy and transitioning capabilities employed in the field. The MSEIT effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Space Forceโ€™s Space Systems Command (SSC). We acquire state of the art Military and Commercial Satellite Communications (SATCOM) systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nationโ€™s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems. โ€ข    5+ years of experience in SE&I associated with system acquisitions and/or O&S
โ€ข    Expertise with requirements development and analysis and the development of systems engineering-related documents
โ€ข    Knowledge of Agile software development processes and applications (i.e., Jira/Confluence)
โ€ข    Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
