JOB DESCRIPTION:

SAIC is seeking a Microsoft Power Platform Web App Developer to support the migration and modernization of a legacy SharePoint 2016 on‑premises environment to SharePoint Online (SPO). The primary focus of this role is replacing legacy workflows (e.g., SharePoint Designer, custom list workflows, email-driven processes) with modern Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps and Power Automate.

You will work under the guidance of senior developers and platform leads to analyze existing business processes, rebuild them using approved modern patterns, and ensure solutions are secure, maintainable, and usable in a cloud-based environment.

This role is well-suited for someone comfortable building Power Platform solutions who wants deeper exposure to modernization efforts, migration work, and enterprise governance practices.

The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Space Force’s Space Systems Command. We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state-of-the-art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance is required to be considered for this position
  • BS degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or computer information systems Min 5 years total experience.
  • Practical experience in SharePoint Online web app development and SharePoint lists and libraries
  • 2+ years of work experience developing business applications using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate, including solutions built on SharePoint
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to think through, develop, test, and deploy web app solutions using HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and team building skills
  • Understanding of the Agile SW development process and Scrum methodology
  • Ability to gather requirements, propose solutions, and iterate with stakeholders
  • Ability to read and interpret existing workflows and business logic, troubleshoot broken flows and app issues, and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders

Desired:

  • 2+ years of work experience applying Agile and Scrum methodology
  • 4+ years of work experience developing business applications using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate, including solutions built on SharePoint
  • Experience translating legacy workflow logic into modern patterns, debugging and refactoring complex flows, and working withing tenant/governance constraints
  • Integration of SharePoint Online applications with Teams and other 365 applications
  • SharePoint solution experience using SPFx.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools (GitHub Copilot) to assist coding development and test.
  • Experience with USSF systems engineering and integration contracts
  • Active Secret or higher clearance
