Job description

Position Summary

The Program Manageris responsible formanaging customer programs fromquoting andinitial awardthrough production, delivery, and ongoing customer support. This role serves as the primary point of contact between the customer and internal teams, ensuring that program requirements, schedules, quality expectations, and delivery commitments are clearly understood and executed.

The ideal candidate has experience in electronic manufacturing, preferably with aerospace, defense, or military customers, and understands the importance of quality, compliance, communication, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary customer contact for assigned programs and accounts.

  • Manage customer expectations, schedules, priorities, and communication.

  • Coordinate internal activities across production, purchasing, planning, engineering, quality, shipping, and leadership.

  • Review customer purchase orders, contracts, drawings, specifications, and flow-down requirements.

  • Ensure customer requirements areproperly communicatedand understood by internal departments.

  • Track program status, open action items, risks, shortages, quality issues, and delivery commitments.

  • Lead internal and external program meetings as needed.

  • Monitor production progress and help resolve issues that mayimpactschedule, quality, or customer satisfaction.

  • Support quoting, change orders, customer requests, and new product introductions.

  • Work with planning andpurchasingto ensure materials, resources, and capacity align with customer demand.

  • Assistwith customer reporting, status updates, corrective actions, and delivery recovery plans.

  • Support compliance with aerospace, military, ITAR, DPAS, AS9100, ISO, and customer-specific requirements as applicable.

  • Helpidentifyand escalate risks related to schedule, material availability, quality, engineering, or customer requirements.

  • Maintainaccurateprogram records, communications, and documentation.

  • Drive continuous improvement in customer satisfaction, program execution, and internal communication.

  • Salary Range : $70,000- $150,000

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related technical field preferred.

  • Experience in electronic manufacturing, contract manufacturing, PCB assembly, or related technical manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, military, or high-reliability customers strongly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of customer service, production schedules, purchase orders, and manufacturing processes.

  • Ability to read and understand customer specifications, drawings, work orders, and contract requirements.

  • Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR, DPAS, IPC standards, and customer flow-down requirements preferred.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple programs, priorities, and deadlines at the same time.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Proficiencywith ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and customer portals.

  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Preferred Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in program management, account management, customer service, planning, or project management within a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with PCB assembly, box build, cable/harness assembly, test, inspection, or electronic manufacturing services.

  • Experience working with aerospace and defense customers.

  • Knowledge of contract review, customer scorecards, on-time delivery, quality metrics, and corrective action processes.
