Data Center Migration Project ManagerThis role is hybrid in Dallas, TX
Overview
We're seeking a Data Center Migration Coordinator to support a large-scale enterprise data center migration involving 300+ application servers across Windows, Linux, SAP, SQL, Oracle, IBM DB2, Azure SQL, and HANA environments. In this role, you'll coordinate migration planning, cutover activities, server validation, and decommissioning while partnering with infrastructure, application, database, and project teams to ensure successful migrations with minimal business disruption.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain application server inventories, dependency maps, and migration documentation.
  • Coordinate migration waves across DEV, TEST, QA, PROD, and DR environments.
  • Develop detailed migration, cutover, rollback, and validation plans.
  • Facilitate change management activities and coordinate migration schedules with application owners and technical teams.
  • Track risks, issues, dependencies, and key decisions in partnership with the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate application, server, and database validation following migrations.
  • Support infrastructure upgrades, patching, licensing verification, and compliance activities.
  • Execute server decommissioning activities and maintain architecture documentation.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Copilot for Microsoft 365, and other Office applications to manage migration activities and reporting.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience coordinating data center migrations, application migrations, or enterprise server move projects.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise application environments (DEV, TEST, QA, PROD, DR).
  • Experience coordinating migrations across Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SAP landscapes (working with SAP Basis), Oracle, IBM DB2, Azure SQL, and HANA environments.
  • Experience managing migration waves, cutovers, change management, validation, and decommissioning activities.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Copilot for Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise infrastructure or data center consolidation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, change management, and enterprise project delivery methodologies.
  • Experience creating infrastructure documentation, dependency mapping, and architecture diagrams.
  • Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, cloud platforms, and hybrid environments.
  • Experience working within highly regulated enterprise environments.
