Job description

Are you a seasoned construction professional with a knack for leading teams and managing projects from start to finish? At Midwest Remediation in Indianapolis, IN, we're looking for a full-time Residential Reconstruction Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced insurance restoration environment and takes pride in delivering quality results.

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of insurance-based restoration and rebuild projects - not remodeling - managing fire, water, and other disaster-related reconstructions. If you're already in the restoration or remediation industry and understand what it takes to work with insurance carriers and homeowners, you're exactly who we're looking for!

With a competitive salary of $65,000-$85,000 per year, a company vehicle with a gas card, business account cards, and a steady work schedule, this is your chance to step into a leadership position where your expertise makes a direct impact. We also provide a healthy incentive plan, where you'll earn up to 2% of the revenue you generate based on performance, revenue, and project completion!

WHAT IS MIDWEST REMEDIATION ALL ABOUT?

At Midwest Remediation, we help people recover when disaster strikes. With a reputation built on trust, reliability, and quality work, our team specializes in restoration and reconstruction services for homes and businesses. We believe in doing the right thing, working with integrity, and treating every project as if it were our own.

We foster a collaborative and professional work environment where employees are valued and supported. If you're looking for a company that appreciates hard work, craftsmanship, and leadership, you'll feel right at home with us.

WHAT THIS RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER ROLE ENTAILS

Work Schedule & Location: This is a full-time position based in Indianapolis, IN, working Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Your Typical Day: As a Residential Reconstruction Project Manager, you will oversee insurance-driven restoration projects, coordinating work from estimate to final closeout. You'll review project budgets, create schedules (including Gantt charts), manage work orders, communicate consistently with homeowners, provide documentation to estimators, and ensure timelines and costs are controlled. You'll guide a working subcontractor base across all trades-drywall, carpentry, exteriors, flooring, and painting-ensuring top-tier workmanship.

You'll update project records daily using our CRM, participate in weekly WIP meetings, maintain documentation for compliance, and communicate with clients and insurance reps to ensure smooth operations. Your goal: deliver high-quality results while keeping your team on task and your projects profitable.

The Minimum Requirements to Be Considered:

  • 3+ years of experience in construction, carpentry, drywall, exteriors, flooring, painting, and residential or commercial project management
  • Experience in the restoration or remediation field, working with insurance companies on fire rebuilds and similar projects (not remodeling)
  • Experience managing and closing $2 million+ in projects annually
  • Strong supervisory skills with experience leading crews and overseeing a network of subcontractors and vendors
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and project management software (Xactimate)
  • Familiarity with work orders and job invoicing
  • Ability to create and manage budgets, estimates, and job schedules
  • Ability to provide proof of previous job history, references, and a project list
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pull covered and dump trailers
  • Ability to lift more than 25 lbs multiple times per day safely

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Customer-facing experience
  • Xactimate experience
  • 5+ years of experience
