These engineers often work on tools used by civil, structural, and mechanical engineers for modeling, simulation, and analysis. Their responsibilities may include writing code, testing software, debugging issues, and collaborating with engineering teams to enhance software functionality. They typically have a background in computer science or engineering and are skilled in programming languages relevant to MIDAS software.

To excel as a Midas Software Engineer, you need strong programming skills (especially in languages like C++ or Python), a solid understanding of structural or civil engineering principles, and typically a relevant engineering degree. Familiarity with Midas software platforms (such as Midas Civil, Midas Gen, or Midas GTS NX), finite element analysis tools, and relevant certifications are commonly required. Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills help you interpret client needs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
