Job Description
KPFF Seattle's Structural Team consists of structural engineers working in a vast array of building design fields such as high-rise towers, office buildings, hospitals, medical centers, parking garages, and higher education buildings. We pride ourselves on our collaborative approach to consulting, working with clients from across the industry, including architects, owners, and public agencies.   • Lead all phases of structural engineering projects, from concept, schematic layout, and design to budgeting, scheduling, and closeout, ensuring timely and successful achievement of project goals.
  • Act as the primary liaison for clients, building strong relationships, managing expectations, and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integration of structural systems with other design elements.
  • Participate in project meetings, overseeing timelines, budgets, and client interactions to guarantee successful project outcomes.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BSCE with emphasis in Structural Engineering
  • 7 years minimum experience with a consulting firm

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MSCE or MSE with emphasis in Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineering license in Civil Engineering
  • Structural Engineering license
  • Strong technical and organizational abilities
  • Experience in the design and construction of reinforced concrete, structural steel, wood, masonry, and/or post-tensioned concrete for primarily building structures
  • Proficiency with the following software, or similar software: RAM Structural Systems (RAMSteel, RAMConcept), CSI Software Suite (ETABS, SAP, SAFE), REVIT
  • Passionate about providing exceptional client services

  • Ability to work with and lead junior engineers

Additional Information
Physical Demands:
  • Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table.

  • Occasionally visiting project and construction sites may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.

Compensation:
The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate is $105,000 - 145,000 annually.
