Everforth ECS Federal is seeking a Mid-Level Software Developer to support a mission-focused federal IT program in Washington DC.
Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.
Join Everforth ECS Federal to grow your software development career while building applications that support law enforcement and national security missions. You will work in a collaborative Agile environment with room to expand your technical skills while contributing to secure, reliable, and mission-focused software delivery.
The Software Developer will design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain applications in Agile environments using secure coding practices. This role supports feature delivery, defect resolution, system integration, API development, documentation, and continuous improvement for applications that enable critical federal mission operations.
The Software Developer will develop features, fix defects, support APIs, use source control, participate in Agile ceremonies, support CI/CD execution, and apply secure coding practices and documentation standards. This position will work closely with senior developers, product owners, business analysts, QA engineers, cybersecurity teams, DevSecOps personnel, and customer stakeholders to deliver software aligned with mission needs and technical requirements.
This role requires a hands-on developer with experience building or maintaining software applications, working in Agile teams, using source control, supporting integration activities, and communicating clearly across technical teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong problem-solving skills, a willingness to learn, documentation discipline, and the ability to support secure application delivery in a classified or sensitive federal IT environment.
  • Minimum 5 years software development experience
  • Experience with modern programming languages and Agile practices
  • Experience using source control and software lifecycle tools.
