SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Software Engineer II.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary: SEACORP is seeking a highly motivated anddetail-oriented Mid-Level Software Engineer to join our growing team. The selectedcandidate will contribute to the design, development, implementation, andtesting of software solutions that support critical Navy defense applications.This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers ina professional and technically focused environment.
Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Participates in an agile development and testing process to produce reliable software solutions for critical Navy systems.
  • Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to software and event-driven problems.
  • Participates in all of the software disciplines available including UI, Infrastructure, and back-end development.
  • Interfaces with Management, Software Engineers, Cybersecurity, and End Users to generate thorough solutions to problems.
  • Is self-motivated to uncover software issues, explore solutions to resolve them, and can communicate the issues and solutions with the team.
  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
  • Update or enhance existing software capabilities.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field such asengineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer
Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems)
Experience: At least 2 years of experience and proven performancein software engineering, including problem analysis and resolution,requirements analysis and definition, design, code, and integration testing.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
  • Proven knowledge and experience around object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with C++, C#, and SQL.
  • Experience with an Agile development process.
  • Candidate should be familiar with Git and VisualStudio.
  • Previous DoD experience and a security clearance are highly preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
