Job description

Job Summary:
THOR Solutions, LLC is actively seeking a junior-to-mid level NMCI/NET System Administrator to support NMCI hardware and software asset management activities at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport. The role involves coordinating asset orders, managing software licenses, and providing IT training to users.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate NMCI asset orders with NUWCDIVNPT command NMCI POCs, perform asset management and reporting for deployed NMCI assets, and reconcile assets using the NET.
• Process Move, Add, Change (MAC) submissions on new and existing NMCI assets, track open MAC requests, and facilitate MAC completion using MAC system tools in NET.
• Compile NMCI cost and technical data from NET, analyze data for current and future requirements, and summarize data and analysis in a report to address GFI request.
• Provide life-cycle management for NMCI software including analysis of license expiration dates, and submission of a MAC request in NET for license renewal and changes.
• Coordinate with command NMCI POCs to make sure assets and peripherals are available, validate scheduling, and perform asset reconciliation upon completion of asset replacement.
• Upon receipt of service request, perform issue resolution. If unable to resolve the issue identified in the service request ticket, escalate the request to Government NMCI Activity Contract Technical Representative (ACTR) and track NMCI trouble ticket through completion.
• Provide users with NMCI related IT/IA training on enterprise systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
• High school diploma/GED equivalent, relevant military “A” or “C” school, or relevant professional vocational training.
• At least one (1) year of demonstrated experience providing hardware and software asset tracking and support using the NMCI Enterprise Tool (NET).
• Qualify under the DOD Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) as a System Administrator (451) at the Intermediate level, in accordance with DOD 8570.01-M. Typically this includes at least ONE of the following credentials: Bachelor’s Degree in from an accredited university in a relevant discipline such as Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering; CompTIA Cloud+; CompTIA Security+ CE; GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP); ISC2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP); GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC); Or a more advanced certification for a higher level of this position per the above link.
• Strong proficiency with common productivity software including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills, and the ability to interact with contractor, government, and active-duty military personnel.
• Existing SECRET Security Clearance Required: This position requires an existing active or interim Secret security clearance prior to hire.

• An ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in from an accredited university in a relevant discipline such as Computer Engineering, Computer Programming, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
