Job Title: Mid-Level Electrical Engineer - Electrical Power Designer

Location: Walnut Creek, CA

Employment Type: Full-time, Regular

Overview:

We are seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer in Walnut Creek, CA. This role involves working on various projects related to municipal water and wastewater treatment plants. Join a team committed to meaningful work, collaboration, and inclusivity, offering opportunities for career growth and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute detailed electrical power systems designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities under the guidance of a Senior Level Electrical Engineer.
  • Perform load calculations, detailed conduit routing, design motor control centers and switchgears, and develop specifications.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 6 to 12 years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
  • Proficiency in power system applications, including calculating available short circuit current, voltage drop, harmonic distortion, and power factor.
  • Hands-on experience in field investigations and startup procedures.
  • Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA 820, and NESC.
  • Familiarity with the IEEE color book series.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting.
  • Ability to positively engage with clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
