MANTECH seeks a skilled and motivated Windows Systems Administrator to join our team of top Information Technology and Analytic professionals in Chantilly, VA.
 

You will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the Sponsor's Windows environment, contributing to national security through technical excellence. This dynamic role is embedded in an innovative Big Data ecosystem where collaboration and growth are encouraged.
 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • You will help sustain and improve the organization's Windows infrastructure as part of a collaborative systems team. Your focus will span operations, security, and integration of hardware and software.
  • Research and resolve operating system problems efficiently and accurately in adherence to organizational standards
  • Troubleshoot operating system issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams including application development and networking
  • Build and harden Windows servers, establish and manage configuration baselines
  • Plan, test, install, integrate, and maintain new or updated operating systems
  • Apply security and firmware patches promptly; assist in maintaining patch management strategies
  • Test and integrate new hardware and software components
  • Manage the lifecycle of operating systems
  • Design interfaces to external systems and maintain thorough documentation on system configurations and processes
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and 7+ years of relevant experience with Windows systems
  • Experience with complex system architectures and interconnected data environments
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, LDAP, and Centrify for domain management
  • Experience and proficiency applying security patches within enterprise systems
  • Experience scripting in PowerShell, VB, or similar tools
  • Experience and ability to manage environments running Windows Server 2008/2012/2016
  • Experience with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and Access Control Service (ACS)
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, and antivirus solutions including Symantec and McAfee
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with LAN, SAN, TCP/IP, and Cisco network configurations
  • MCSE or MCITP certifications
  • Experience with VMware 5+ and a VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) credential
     

Security Clearance Requirements

  • An active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
     

Physical Requirements

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to use hands to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.

The projected compensation range for this position is $128,000.00-$214,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.  In addition, MANTECH invests in its employees beyond just compensation.  MANTECH's benefits offerings include, dependent upon position, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, short-term and long-term Disability, Retirement and Savings, Learning and Development opportunities, wellness programs as well as other optional benefit elections.
