ProSidian Seeks a Systems/Software Tester in CONUS/OCONUS - Olympia, WA to support an engagement for an Agency dedicated to the safety, health and security of 2.5 million workers and helping employers meet safety and health standards and the Agency also inspects workplaces when alerted to hazards. As administrators of the state's workers' compensation system, The Washington State Department Of Labor And Industries is similar to a large insurance company, providing medical and limited wage-replacement coverage to workers who suffer job-related injuries and illness. The Agency's rules and enforcement programs help ensure workers are paid what they are owed, that children's and teens' work hours limited, and consumers are protected from unsound building practices. Key functions include: Protecting the health and safety of workers | Ensuring medical care and financial help for injured workers | Protecting workers' wages, hours, breaks and more | Protecting the public from unsafe work and economic hardship

The ProSidian Team works to provide expert level Information Technology (IT) Quality Assurance (QA) consulting services supporting a full cross-agency "business transformation" initiatives intended to achieve the mission of keeping citizens in the state safe and working. The business transformation (BT) calls for modernizing the agency's extensive technology infrastructure and corresponding business processes over several years. The client is starting with people and processes – ensuring the best way to do business and collectively understand business priorities and customers' expectations. Then, they will invest in new technology to support those process improvements and achieve stated goals and objectives.

Systems/Software Tester Candidates shall work to support requirements for Program Support and Executing test scenarios, documenting problems found and verifying fixes. Test product(s) ensuring that released applications or software builds to users are of an acceptable standard. Report to the Test Manager any issues found during testing. Ensure that the defect tracking system is kept updated with all new & validated defects. Ensure that the system test plan is followed and completed before release to users/customers. Take an active part in automating system tests. A balanced combination of technical expertise, test process experience and personable communication skills are essential.

For each Systems/Software Test Services Engagement, ProSidian Team Members will perform the following primary duties:

  1. Provide Systems/Software Test services during the specific timeframe (e.g., procurement development through solution implementation and Go-Live of the initial project phase, project start-up through completion of a key critical event, etc.) and as defined under any authorized Statement of Work (SOW).
  2. Monitor progress against schedule (status and stage of completion), costs, requirements, and project Deliverables in compliance for risk indicators.
  3. Inform Client Stakeholders, Project Sponsors, Development Teams, User Acceptance Testing, and functional representatives of risk factors and recommend corrective actions to reduce or prevent risk.
  4. Document accomplishments and key Deliverables for the project and, if applicable procurement, which may include evaluation events, assessment of deliverables and tasks specified in the Project Plan for all tracks of each project, etc.
  5. Review the quality of deliverables and products produced by Client Stakeholders, Project Sponsors, Development Teams, User Acceptance Testing, and functional representatives if applicable, the selected vendors for business transformation processes and technology.
  6. Meet regularly with the project team, as needed, upon intervals based upon current project activities.
  7. Attend required meetings with the project steering committee(s), agency leadership, project teams (and, if applicable, ProSidian Team Members project staff), and other stakeholders as required.

The Systems/Software Tester shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/Power point) and related tools and technology required for the position.

Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.

A bachelor's degree is required with at least three years work experience in accounting, budget execution, IT, financial system requirements and analysis, financial planning and reporting, auditing, and internal financial controls.

TRAVEL: Travel as coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations. LOCATION: Work shall be conducted at the CONUS/OCONUS - Olympia, WA
