Job description

Overview
Agents represent the next evolution in how work gets done across Microsoft 365, business applications, and enterprise systems. As adoption continues to grow, the opportunity is focused on increasing usage, customer value, and business impact at scale.
We are hiring a Director, Agent Growth & Adoption to lead Microsoft's strategy for Agent MAU (monthly active users), customer adoption, and growth across our Apps & Agents portfolio. This role sits within the Agents Pod Team in the Apps & Agents organization and will help define how we drive usage, scale effective adoption motions, and connect product innovation to measurable customer outcomes.

You will partner closely with engineering, product, data science, field, customer success, and marketing teams to identify growth opportunities, address adoption challenges, and scale successful approaches across Microsoft's global customer base.
You will operate from both a strategic and execution-oriented perspective, helping shape long-term growth strategy while driving the execution needed to support key business metrics.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
  • Own growth, adoption, and Agent MAU (monthly active users) strategy across key IQ & Agents experiences.
  • Partner with engineering, product management, data science, and design teams to identify opportunities to enhance engagement and customer value.

  • Translate product capabilities into repeatable growth programs that support measurable business outcomes.
  • Establish success metrics, monitor performance, and help drive alignment against growth objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives across engineering, sales, marketing, customer success, and partner teams.
  • Represent customer and market insights to help inform product strategy, roadmap priorities, and investment decisions.

In This Role, You Will
  • Think strategically while remaining connected to execution details.
  • Use data and customer insights to identify growth opportunities and help prioritize investments.
  • Navigate ambiguity and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Influence senior leaders and stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Build and scale programs through the Microsoft ecosystem rather than relying solely on direct ownership.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years marketing or sales experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 12+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience building agents or AI Systems with code-first tools and low-code tools such as Microsoft Power Platform, GitHub, Claude, and Copilot Studio.
  • Experience driving usage growth, engagement, retention, or MAU-based business metrics.
  • Experience with AI, agents, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Copilot, or enterprise software platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform strategy and investment decisions.
  • Experience working across product, sales, customer success, and marketing organizations.
  • Demonstrated success scaling programs through large organizations and partner ecosystems.
