Job description

Join Our Team as a Network Administrator

Are you a technology professional who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and keeping critical systems running at peak performance? We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Administrator to join our IT team. In this role, you will help maintain a secure, reliable, and high-performing technology environment that supports our organization's mission and daily operations.

Under the direction of the IT Manager, the Network Administrator will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, monitoring, and enhancement of network infrastructure, servers, and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical expertise, exceptional customer service skills, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Note: This position is based on-site in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Remote work is not available for this role, and only candidates who can work on-site will be considered at this time.

What You'll Do

Network Infrastructure Administration

  • Support, maintain, and upgrade LAN/WAN networks and wireless systems.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, utilization, throughput, and latency.
  • Ensure secure and reliable network connectivity across the organization.
  • Identify, test, and remediate network vulnerabilities.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce network policies and procedures.
  • Configure and onboard users to network resources and services.

Server Administration

  • Install, configure, and integrate server hardware and software solutions.
  • Manage and maintain virtual server environments.
  • Perform system maintenance, security patching, and software updates.
  • Design scalable and secure infrastructure solutions based on organizational needs.
  • Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and third-level support.

Application & Systems Support

  • Administer and support third-party business applications.
  • Assist users with hardware, software, printing, email, operating systems, and productivity tools.
  • Collaborate with departments to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Research emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to network and server environments.
  • Participate in training, conferences, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in systems and network administration.
  • CCNA certification or equivalent IT certification.
  • Experience administering Microsoft network environments, including:
    • Windows Server and desktop operating systems
    • Microsoft Exchange
    • Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background investigation.

Preferred Experience

  • Virtualization technologies and server management.
  • Enterprise networking, telecommunications, and cybersecurity practices.
  • Business application support and integration.
