Overview

This is a hands-on endpoint engineering role focused on managing and securing enterprise Windows devices through Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD). The engineer will be responsible for device deployment, endpoint security, compliance management, automation, and troubleshooting in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within Microsoft Intune-managed environments, including device configuration, policy application, compliance failures, and software deployment
  • Build, image, configure, deploy, and maintain Windows workstations and peripherals using gold images and templates
  • Administer Active Directory sourced user and computer objects and provide continuous compliance oversight using Group Policy control
  • Procure, track, and keep software products and licenses up to date
  • Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft Intune endpoint management solutions, including Autopilot zero-touch provisioning
  • Build automation using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph where appropriate
  • Identify, prioritize, and remediate endpoint vulnerabilities using enterprise management and security tools
  • Navigate and resolve security and compliance challenges, including endpoint hardening, policy enforcement, and audit readiness
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff while maintaining high customer service standards
  • Troubleshoot Windows operating systems, peripherals, printers, conferencing equipment, and endpoint hardware
  • Diagnose and address network connectivity issues (e.g., access restrictions, firewall rules, DNS, VPN, IP/Port/URL filtering)
  • Contribute across endpoint engineering, user support, compliance, and operational initiatives
  • Continuously improve endpoint management processes through automation, standardization, and operational excellence

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or relevant field and 5+ years of practical experience in the field
  • Ability to obtain public trust clearance
  • Ability to self-manage work tasks using M365 based tools
  • Proven ability to independently resolve issues, improve operations, and operate with a growth mindset
  • Hands-on experience managing enterprise desktops within a Microsoft Intune managed environment
  • Troubleshooting and administering Windows operating systems in an enterprise environment, including peripheral device management, asset management, and VOIP operations
  • Understanding of regulatory controls, baselines, and security policies within an Azure Entra and Intune environment (e.g., CIS benchmarks, STIG)
  • Located near Indianapolis, IN and capable of being on-site daily in support of the mission
