Job description

We are looking for an EHS Specialist to support our manufacturing operations by helping maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient workplace. In this role, you’ll partner closely with site leadership and cross-functional teams to implement EHS programs, reduce risk, and promote a strong safety culture.


What You’ll Do
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations
  • Support hazard assessments and help teams identify and reduce workplace risks
  • Deliver and coordinate safety training (e.g., Lockout/Tagout, HAZCOM, Emergency Response, Fire Safety)
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct routine inspections and support environmental programs (SWPPP, SPCC, air emissions, hazardous materials)
  • Assist with sustainability initiatives focused on waste and energy reduction
  • Maintain emergency response plans and participate in drills
  • Promote employee engagement and accountability around safety practices
  • Keep accurate records for EHS activities, OSHA logs, inspections, and training
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to integrate safety into daily work
What We’re Looking For
  • Associates degree in EHS, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–3 years of EHS experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting
  • Knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations
  • Experience with hazard assessments, job safety analysis, or behavior-based safety programs is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Relevant certifications (or willingness to pursue): HAZWOPER, Confined Space, Lockout/Tagout, Train-the-Trainer
  • Ability to access all work areas, including confined or hard-to-reach spaces
