Description

Concept Solutions is seeking a Microsoft Defender Specialist to support the FAA's IT Endpoint Protection Team, implementing and maintaining the Microsoft Defender solution suite and supporting the transition to emerging Microsoft technologies within the FAA's large-scale enterprise environment. This position is responsible for deploying and managing endpoint protection capabilities including Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) and Defender Cloud Apps (MDCA), as well as designing Modern Workspace solutions aligned with FAA security requirements.


 Endpoint Protection & Defender Administration

Support the IT Endpoint Protection team with primary responsibility for BitLocker Encryption and the Microsoft Defender Suite, including MDE and MDCA

Implement the Microsoft Defender solution across the enterprise, ensuring comprehensive endpoint, email, cloud application, and mobile threat protection

Maintain agent handlers, repositories, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365 Defender, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps

Deploy complex architectures based on Microsoft Intune, Endpoint Manager, and 365 Defender Center

Support the transition to emerging Microsoft technologies as they become available


Modern Workspace & Security Solutions

Design and implement "Modern Workspace" solutions that align with FAA security and operational requirements

Support security-minded solutions across the endpoint protection portfolio

Coordinate efforts to test and verify solutions for future implementation


Technical Support & Process Development

Provide Level 3 support for all end-user computing solutions and services

Assist in developing standard processes and technical directions for Level 2 and Level 1 resources

Manage and administer systems associated with software deployments, patches, and scripts across a large enterprise environment

Track and resolve incidents via ticket queue using enterprise ticketing systems


Reporting & Collaboration

Collaborate with peers and managers to identify, manage, and generate appropriate reporting and metrics standards based on deployments and management needs

Leverage strong Excel skills to support reporting and data analysis duties

Recommend cost-effective, innovative solutions to operational and technical challenges

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of IT experience (or 11 years of IT experience in lieu of degree)

Work Location and Schedule

  • Primary Location: Oklahoma City, OK
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, core hours 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM local time
  • Telework may be permitted when determined to be in the best interest of the Government
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • FAA Personnel Suitability clearance required (AMS 3.14-2)

Compensation: $85K to $95K
