Job Description:
Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an Immigration Administrator to join our team. This position will be onsite at our corporate office in Chandler, Arizona and provide ongoing support to the staffing department, business leaders and employees while working to advance business goals and strengthen the culture and values at Microchip Technology. Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Strategize and partner with immigration attorney to ensure compliance and understanding of impacts of U.S. immigration changes
  • Mange end-to-end portfolio of immigration cases, policies, compliance and record keeping
  • Understand the current state of systems, processes and U. S. immigration policy and regulations.
  • Oversee and initiate complex immigration processes and filing strategies related to H-1B cap, PERM, Blanket L program, TN, STEM EAD
  • Serve as immigration SME for the North America HR team
  • Manage labor law postings for U.S. offices
  • Manage Immigration SharePoint page
  • Perform other administrative tasks and assist with various projects as needed (this may include but not be limited to providing employee support, answering general questions, and communications etc.

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of direct experience with immigration compliance, policy work and immigration preparation/filings
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective listening and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision, and drive tasks and projects to completion
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with peers, employees, and management
  • High attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to multitask and balance multiple tasks/projects at once
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications:
  • HRIS Workday experience a plus
  • SharePoint experience a plus
