The Bruker MALDI Biotyper is a revolutionary product which uses MALDI-TOF technology to generate rapid, accurate and cost-effective microorganism identifications. The Bruker MID Microbiology Account Executive will be responsible for all sales activities within their assigned territory for the MALDI Biotyper, IR Biotyper and associated consumables, WAVE Rapid AST solution in addition to software and accessories. In this role they will be responsible for building and managing their sales pipeline in order to meet and exceed their objectives for both revenue and customer satisfaction.

The territory for this position includes the Southeast US Territory and the employee can reside in any of the following states: Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Alabama, or Mississippi. Proximity to a hub airport is preferred. 

Responsibilities
  • Drive New Order Bookings, Consumables, Accessories, Software and other revenue initiatives to meet and exceed targets for the assigned territory
  • Foster a positive working environment with internal and external stakeholders and customers that drives collaboration and success
  • Build collaborative relationships with alliance partners to drive sales.
  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline for Bruker Microbiology & Infection Diagnostics products and services, while successfully navigating a complex capital sales cycle.
  • Develop & nurture relationships with key opinion leaders across the territory.
  • Ensure maintenance of accurate and up-to-date Salesforce entries to support ongoing forecasting, opportunity and lead tracking, revenue analysis, and contact management
  • Manage local and regional conferences and participate in national trade shows
  • Ensure adherence to compliance, quality system and regulatory requirements
  • Effectively manage business and travel expenses.
  • Actively participate in team and other organization calls to share relevant updates, best practices, competitive intelligence, etc. 
  • Demonstrates strong collaboration skills and thrives in team-oriented environments. Actively contributes to group objectives, communicates effectively with colleagues, and fosters a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Values diverse perspectives and works cooperatively to achieve shared goals.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience:

  • 5+ years capital equipment sales and demonstrated success selling complex products and services in the field of clinical or industrial microbiology.
  • Minimum BS/BA degree in a scientific field, microbiology preferred.Master's degree is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of acute care and/or commercial laboratory practices is essential.
  • Microbiology background is strongly recommended (clinical, food, veterinary, or pharmaceutical).

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • CRM experience required: Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Concur travel and expense management experience are helpful.                                     

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including customer presentation capabilities.   
  • Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude.  Advanced selling skills required with documented success. 
  • Willing and able to travel in assigned territory up to 70%. 
  • Valid US Drivers License required. 
  • Valid US Passport with ability to travel internationally occasionally. 

At Bruker, the base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $88,000 and $141,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on several job-related factors, including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge, and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits, including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
