THE JOB:
As a On-call Barista at Starbucks at MGM Grand, you create a welcoming guest experience by preparing, serving, and garnishing quality food and beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and delivering friendly, personalized service that leaves a lasting impression.
THE STARTING RATE: $15.8977 hourly
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Take and place orders, and serve and garnish food and drinks efficiently and accurately in the work area, as applicable
  • Collect money while following all proper cash handling and comp procedures
  • Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the front and back of house; clear tables and counters; sweep and maintain the cleanliness of the dining area without interfering with the comfort of guests
  • Pack and complete orders as per guests' preferences with any necessary condiments
  • Properly label and date products per safety and sanitation procedures
  • Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment
  • Unload warehouse orders and stock them to designated storage, maintaining organization; stock and replenish products as needed in workstations, counters, and tables
  • Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management and notify a supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid Food Handler Safety Training Card required (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • 1+ year of food handling experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment preferred
  • Barista experience preferred
