THE JOB:
As a Special Events Representative you will be assisting with setup, breakdown of events and execution of events. Utilize your customer service skills and set the stage by engaging, entertaining, and inspiring all who visit MGM Springfield by focusing on our commitment to creating amazing memories for our guests. THE STARTING RATE:$15.45 per hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Serve as a brand representative on property, maintaining a professional demeanor and willingness to assist guests.
  • Perform various event duties, including setup and breakdown, organizing event supplies, and maintaining an inventory of promotional items.
  • Complete event registration, guest check-ins, and gift redemptions using multiple computer programs.
  • Adhere to all departmental and property policies, complete assignments in a timely manner, and protect the confidentiality of company files and data.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including office support (using multi-line phones, computer, fax, copier), filing, drafting memos, and acting as an office runner.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Highly motivated, service oriented and energetic
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to resolve guest inconveniences
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Lift and move object up to 40 pound
  • Must be flexible with schedule and available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as the schedule rotates each month based on property scheduled events

Pay Rate
The rate for this role is:
$15.45
This rate represents a good faith estimate of the wage rate that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire.
Pay will not be below any applicable minimum wage.
Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
Employees in this position are eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plans, and time off plans. Specific program offerings vary by eligibility factors such as geographic location, employment status, and union membership.
