Job description

MGM+ is building the function it has never had before: a single owner for worldwide subscriber growth strategy, programming advisory, and commercial partnerships. As Head of WW Growth & Programming Strategy, you will set the commercial and content direction for a global premium streaming service. You will report directly to the Global GM and work at the intersection of data, content, and subscriber economics.
MGM+ is Amazon's prestige streaming brand, home to acclaimed originals including FROM & Robin Hood and a deep MGM library

This role owns three strategic pillars: subscriber growth and LTV strategy (pricing, promotions, sampling, retention), programming strategy advisory (translating audience data into content mix recommendations), and business development (distribution deals, bundling, and commercial partnerships). You will be the connective tissue between analytical insight and business decisions that directly move the P&L.
This is a rare opportunity to define a function from scratch at a high-profile streaming service, with global scope from day one and direct access to the senior leadership team.
Key job responsibilities
- Own worldwide subscriber growth and LTV strategy - including pricing, promotional strategy, sampling programs, and retention interventions - and translate analytical outputs into recommendations with clear owners and measurable outcomes
- Serve as the primary strategic link between MGM+'s data and analytics function and the business decisions that move the subscriber P&L
- Use audience and subscriber data to advise programming leadership on content mix, genre strategy, format priorities, and slate decisions that serve acquisition and retention goals
- Partner with GDA (Global Data and Analytics) to develop and maintain the modelling frameworks that inform commercial decision-making across pricing, churn, and content investment
- Pursue business development and commercial partnership opportunities - including distribution arrangements, sampling deals, and bundling - that drive subscriber growth at scale
- Build and maintain the strategic view of MGM+'s competitive positioning in the premium streaming market, across both US and international territories
- Operate effectively in a matrixed organisation, influencing decisions across programming, marketing, finance, and technology without direct authority over those teams
- Define and track the KPIs that measure growth strategy effectiveness, and present performance and recommendations to senior leadership
About the team
MGM+ is Amazon's premium streaming service, live in 30+ territories worldwide, with business operations based across Los Angeles, London, and New York. Following Amazon's acquisition of MGM in March 2022, MGM+ operates as part of Prime Video, combining the rich legacy of MGM's iconic content library with Amazon's innovative technology and global reach

MGM+ is home to prestige originals including FROM and Robin Hood, and draws on one of the most storied film and television libraries in the world through the MGM catalog.
