About Copower

Copower was established in 2001 to provide services in the design, assembly, operation and maintenance of gas and steam turbines as well as generators, diesel and gas power generation plants, photovoltaic generation systems, EPC/PPA projects, electrical testing, diesel equipment rental, oil and gas projects (EPC´s, PPA´s), generator maintenance and balance-of-plant (BOP) services. Position Summary

The Turbine Mechanioc supports the execution of mechanical operational activities according to the instructions of the immediate supervisor and in accordance with Copower protocols and procedures, prioritizing safety in every activity.

This role reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager. Resources must be available for mobilization depending on scheduled maintenance projects or emergency support requirements, primarily within the U.S., with potential support for projects in Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, and other LATAM countries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret mechanical drawings

  • Perform dimensional metrology

  • Conduct maintenance of rotating and static equipment, including combustion and steam turbines, generators, boilers, fans, pumps, compressors, combustion engines, electric motors, tanks, structures, valves, hydraulic systems, piping, and related equipment

  • Understand basic operation of industrial equipment and processes

  • Perform mechanical maintenance to ensure operational availability while preventing occupational, operational, and environmental risks

  • Promote safe and environmentally responsible work practices

  • Prepare technical reports using platforms such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Report risk situations to occupational health program managers

  • Apply Quality and HSE policies and support achievement of quality objectives

  • Perform additional duties assigned by the immediate supervisor according to role level

Required Qualifications
  • Mechanic Technician background

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with major turbine and generator OEMs (e.g., Mitsubishi, Siemens, GE, Doosan)

  • Experience in industrial maintenance

  • All applicants must have:

    • US residence

    • American citizen

    • Have a valid US work permit

Preferred Qualifications
  • OEM turbine or generator certifications or training

  • Working at heights certification

  • Confined space certification

  • Bilingual Spanish / English preferred

Compensation
  • Hourly rate: $28–$30/hour
