Company Description
BVSCU is a not-for-profit financial co-operative serving public and private school employees in 13 counties. We also serve employees and students of colleges and universities in our 13 county field of membership as well as city and county employees in portions of the same field of membership.
Job Description
The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical assistance service to internal members and to operate the computer network, telecommunications network and peripheral equipment. The network consists of Cisco Routers and switches, Windows servers, backup solutions, Virtualization, VoIP, MPLS-T1 and Metro Ethernet lines. The network supports approximately 120 users on PC's in 11 sites. This position also independently coordinates and completes information technology projects and special assignments. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Information Technology.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: addressing data and/or telecommunication issues from users and appropriately communicating the resolution; researching the feasibility of technology related projects, enhancements and proposals; evaluating, testing and recommending upgrades and/or enhancements to PC's; maintaining the security and confidentiality of pertinent information and records; actively participating in disaster recovery and system security; training staff on network applications; and installation, configuration and maintenance of data, telecommunications equipment and PC's.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in MIS, CS or similar field preferred
Financial institution experience preferred but not required
Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification is preferred
