Job description

Overview
Nursing transporter is responsible for establishing good rapport with the patients, public and other hospital personnel and to perform clerical duties as required. The transporter will be available to transport patients within the hospital and assist staff with patient. Safely transports patients within the hospital, utilizing approved transportation methods. Able to effectively assist in the lifting or turning of patients. Practices universal precautions at all times. Always checks patient identification band before transporting following the National Patient Safety Goals.
Qualifications
Current Basic Life Support certification (BLS). Minimal computer experience preferred. General clerical experience. Patient Care experience is desirable. Management of Assaultive behavior certification required.
