Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Transporter, you will perform those duties directly involved with the transporting of patients via wheelchairs, stretchers and/or beds, to and from the assigned department. Provides general assistance to areas of the assigned department as assigned. Reports to the shift supervisor. Tasks and Responsibilities, you will: Transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas as requested. Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretchers. Greets and offers assistance to customers throughout the hospital. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Orients and mentors new staff members. 


What qualifications you will need:
  • High School Graduate/GED
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
