Job description

Position: Southern California - Construction Inspector - Water Main & Water Meter Retrofit Project
Hourly: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
Schedule:โ€ข 8-hour shiftโ€ข Monday to Friday
Work Location: On the road - Southern California (Ventura County, Los Angeles County, & San Diego County)
Duties:
โ€ข Water Utility/Pipeline/Water Meter Inspection.
โ€ข Utilities Water Troubleshooting.
โ€ข Hot tapping on existing watermains.
โ€ข Water system installation of new pipelines, replacement, and repairs.
โ€ข Hydrostatic Pressure testing.
โ€ข Inspection of various types of pipelines including Ductile Iron pipe.
โ€ข Inspecting various projects that include but are not limited to Watermain Replacements, Reservoirs, New Installations, Booster Pump Stations, etc.
โ€ข Overseeing General Contractors.
โ€ข Ensuring that the projects are in compliance with the codes, construction documents, contracts and meets client's specifications.
Minimum Requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • Must be knowledgeable with Ductile Iron Pipe.
  • Must be able to read drawings, plans and permits.
  • Must be able to prepare daily inspection reports using Microsoft word.
  • Must be able to take photos and insert them into daily inspection reports.
