Your Role on the Team

Applies skills as a seasoned, experienced education professional, to identify potential students, and independently reviews applications for admission, using professional judgment in determining whether applicant meets the requirements for admission, and taking into account a variety of requirements. Recommends improvements / modifications to the program.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required:

  • Thorough knowledge and experience working with a diverse student population.
  • Working knowledge of the UC application process.
  • Skill in organizing and setting priorities that accurately reflect the importance of the job responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in a remote environment.
  • Ability to use web-interface systems.
  • Knowledge of and experience in conducting intersegmental relations for the purposes of participating in the comprehensive review process.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience


Preferred:

  • Thorough and comprehensive knowledge of academic programs, including curricula, admissions requirements, at colleges / universities and specifically at UC, and / or specific colleges and schools.
  • Working knowledge of UCI's comprehensive review policies and procedures.
  • Theoretical knowledge of basic principles and concepts regarding University policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge on educational systems outside of California.


Special Conditions:

  • -This is a 100% remote position.
  • -Incumbent is to maintain and utilize secure personal computing devices and internet connection to complete work assignments.
  • -This is a limited position with no benefits and is compensated on a by-agreement basis per application reviewed
  • -Employment date are October through March.
  • -Employment is subject to a DOJ background check.
  • -Employee is required to sign an expectations agreement and a confidentiality/conflict of interest disclosure.
