Press Operator / Sheet Metal Forming (Levels Iโ€“IV) *** Sign-On Bonus***


Job Title: Press Operator / Sheet Metal Forming Specialist

Pay Range: $24.00 โ€“ $39.00+ per hour (DOE & Skill Level)

Hiring Bonus: Up to $5,000 (by level)

Location: Sumner Wa

Shift: Day and Swing

Employment Type: Full-Time


Sign-On Bonus Details

Level 1 โ€” $1,500

Level 2 โ€” $2,500

Level 3 โ€” $5,000

Level 4 โ€” $5,000


Bonus payout schedule:

50% paid on first paycheck

Remaining 50% paid after 90 days of continuous employment


Overview

We are hiring Press Operators and Forming Specialists to support cold-formed and hot-formed aerospace sheet metal production. This role offers clear advancement opportunities, competitive pay progression, and exposure to complex sheet metal forming, inspection, and programming environments.


Candidates may be hired at Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 based on experience and demonstrated capability.


What Youโ€™ll Do

Responsibilities vary by level and may include:

Operate brake presses and 4-post presses safely

Perform press setups including tooling, tonnage, speed, stroke, and heat

Produce aerospace sheet metal parts to specification

Inspect parts using precision measurement tools

Identify defects and assist with troubleshooting

Support first-article runs and documentation

Tune forming parameters to improve quality and repeatability

Train and mentor lower-level operators (advanced levels)

Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Tooling on complex jobs


Skill Levels & Pay

Level 1 โ€” Press Operator (Entry): $24+/hr + $1,500 sign-on bonus

Level 2 โ€” Press Operator (Intermediate): $29+/hr + $2,500 sign-on bonus

Level 3 โ€” Advanced Press Operator: $35+/hr + $5,000 sign-on bonus

Level 4 โ€” Forming Specialist: $39+/hr + $5,000 sign-on bonus

(Level placement based on experience and technical assessment)

Experience using precision measuring tools (level-dependent)
