Job description

1. Checks material, if correct loads the stock for the furnace or the induction heaters.
2. Unload conveyor and load the forged parts into the containers.
3. Move metal forgings from the conveyor using a hoist and other available devices throughout the shift.
4. Use a hand held spray wand to spray blocker and finisher dies with graphite.
5. Requires using tongs as a lever to move billets that are at the proper degrees, through a series of dies.
6. Requires the physical strength and size to move metal billets all day and tolerate high temperatures for lengthy periods of time.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Needs to be trained on safe operations practice before operating a press
Knowledge of safe machine practice standards, physical agility, technical ability and good coordination.
MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED:
Basic math skills
Able to read and write English
