Job description

Maintenance Inventory Specialist
Walor North America is looking for a Maintenance Inventory Specialist to join its Technical Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing maintenance spare parts inventory, tooling support inventory, and storeroom operations for forging and machining manufacturing maintenance operations. This role ensures the availability of critical maintenance and production support parts while minimizing inventory costs, improving storeroom organization, and supporting equipment reliability initiatives.

What you will do
  • Manage daily operation of maintenance storeroom and crib functions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels for maintenance spare parts, consumables, tooling, and MRO supplies.
  • Establish and maintain min/max inventory levels based on equipment criticality and usage trends.
  • Develop and maintain critical spare parts lists for forging presses, furnaces, induction heaters, machining centers, hydraulic systems, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Coordinate cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy within CMMS and ERP systems.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, preservation, and organization of parts using 5S principles.
  • Coordinate purchasing activities and expedite critical spare part orders.
  • Develop supplier relationships and support cost reduction initiatives.
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs through proper spare parts availability.
  • Assist maintenance planning and scheduling with kitting of planned maintenance work orders.
  • Track parts usage trends and identify chronic equipment problem areas.
  • Maintain accurate spare parts BOMs and inventory records.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA standards, and automotive quality requirements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, cost reduction, and uptime improvement
  • Promote safe work practices and maintain compliance with plant safety requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you will bring
  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance storeroom management, MRO inventory control, or industrial maintenance support
  • Experience in forging, machining, automotive, metals, or heavy manufacturing preferred
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Experience with CMMS and ERP inventory systems

Work Environment
  • Location-The Maintenance Inventory Specialist role is based onsite at our Columbus facility
  • Physical Demand-May be required to lift moderately heavy automotive components up to 15 pounds
  • Schedule-Monday thru Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:15 PM, some overtime or weekends may be necessary
