How does Meta recruiting work?

Meta recruiting involves a multi-stage process including online application submission, assessments, interviews, and background checks. Candidates are evaluated based on skills, experience, and cultural fit, often through virtual or in-person interviews, with the goal of matching talent to available roles within the company.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Meta Recruiter, and why are they important?

To excel as a Meta Recruiter, you need a strong background in talent acquisition, candidate sourcing, and an understanding of recruitment best practices, often supported by experience in tech recruiting or a related field. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and data-driven recruitment tools is essential. Outstanding interpersonal skills, adaptability, and the ability to build relationships with both candidates and hiring managers help you stand out. These capabilities are crucial for efficiently attracting top talent and ensuring a seamless recruitment process in a highly competitive environment.

Is it hard to get hired by Meta?

Getting hired by Meta can be competitive due to high application volume and rigorous interview processes. Candidates typically need strong technical skills, relevant experience, and a good understanding of the company's culture and values. Preparation for multiple interview rounds, including technical assessments and behavioral interviews, is essential.

What is Meta Recruiting?

Meta Recruiting refers to the recruitment team and processes at Meta, formerly known as Facebook, that are responsible for attracting, evaluating, and hiring top talent across various departments such as engineering, product, design, and operations. Meta recruiters work closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements, source candidates, conduct interviews, and guide applicants through the hiring process. They also play a key role in employer branding, diversity initiatives, and ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the process.

How much does a Meta recruiter make?

Meta recruiters typically earn an average base salary ranging from $70,000 to $130,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and level within the company. Compensation may also include bonuses, stock options, and benefits, with senior roles earning higher total packages. Recruiters at Meta often use applicant tracking systems and require strong interpersonal skills.

What jobs make $3,000 a day?

High-level executive roles such as CEOs, CFOs, and other C-suite positions can earn $3,000 or more per day through salaries, bonuses, and stock options. Additionally, specialized professions like top-tier surgeons, successful entrepreneurs, and certain high-earning consultants or traders may reach this daily income level, often requiring extensive experience, skills, and certifications.

How does a recruiter at Meta typically collaborate with hiring managers and cross-functional teams during the recruitment process?

At Meta, recruiters work closely with hiring managers to understand the specific needs of each open role, helping to craft job descriptions and define candidate profiles. They collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion, and sometimes technical teams to ensure an inclusive and efficient hiring process. Regular syncs and feedback sessions are common, allowing recruiters to stay aligned with evolving business needs and provide candidates with timely updates. This collaborative approach helps streamline decision-making and ensures a high-quality candidate experience.

Job description

We're Meta's Standalone Apps Team — we build new apps to reach new user scenarios and serve needs that aren't well met today. The project we're building right now is an image-and-text community where real people share first-hand experiences and recommendations — what to try, where to go, how to do something. It's where people come to get inspired and to make every day decisions, learning from others who've actually been there. It's still early — a small team working 0→1.If you want high ownership, a short path from idea to ship, and the chance to shape a product from its first version, this is the kind of team. We're looking for an experienced product manager to help define and drive the product. You'll own meaningful parts of it, set direction with data and judgment, and steer a small team from idea to shipped experience.
Product Manager, Meta Standalone Apps Responsibilities:
  • Own the strategy and roadmap for major areas of the product
  • decide what to build and why
  • Turn a vision into clear, shippable plans
  • drive execution with engineering, design, and data
  • Use research and data to find opportunities, set goals, and measure its impact
  • Make sharp prioritization calls in a fast, ambiguous 0→1 environment
  • Communicate direction and progress clearly to the team and to leadership

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of product management experience for consumer products
  • Track record of shipping products and driving measurable impact
  • Strong product judgments, data fluency, and the ability to lead through influence
  • Experience owning a product area independently end to end

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience building a new product from 0→1
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Comfort working closely with ML/ranking on the core experience
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience with content, discovery, community, social, or creator products

About Meta:
