Job description

Required Skills & Experience
  • 3-7+ years in telecom, messaging, or wireless operations.
  • Strong experience with:
    • SMS/MMS protocols: SMPP, MM7, SS7 (preferred), Diameter (nice-to-have)
    • Messaging platforms (e.g., OpenMarket, Syniverse, Twilio, or similar)
  • Knowledge of:
    • Routing, delivery receipts, message encoding (GSM, Unicode)
    • Carrier connectivity and interworking
  • Experience with log analysis and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK, Grafana).
  • Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Tier 2 / Tier 3 telecom support.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of 4G/5G messaging evolution (RCS is a plus).
  • Experience working with messaging APIs from Twilio or similar providers.
  • ITIL certification or incident management experience.
