Job description

The purpose of the Treasury Support Specialist:
Under direct supervision of the Chief Retail Officer, this position is responsible for providing support, sales and service to business banking customers. The Treasury Support Specialist will serve as the main contact for customer inquiries regarding cash management needs. The Specialist will service existing customers, offer product and service solutions, offer operational support. The Specialist will have the ability to demonstrate consistency in leveraging the conversation model, effectively utilize the Financial Needs Analysis, submit quality (number and quantity) referrals, meet or exceed incentive thresholds, as well as customer and job expectations.
What you'll be doing in the Treasury Support Specialist position:
  • Offer bank products to existing customers and/or prospects using the established sales process while maintaining sales and procedural proficiency in all services. Accurately open, maintain, and close deposit accounts and services.
  • Support and Process client requests including but not limited to; wires, funds transfers, administrator changes, line changes, etc.
  • Identify, expand (cross-sell) and deepen customer relationships by profiling customers to recommend appropriate products and services that meet customer needs. Make referrals to other appropriate lines of business including Residential Lending, Business Banking, Commercial Real Estate, WIS and Merchant Services) to meet customer needs
  • Engage in reactive sales and cross-sell activities, including service-related activities, making outbound onboarding and campaign calls and timely customer follow-up. Answer customer questions and resolve related account issues, including phone and in-person.
  • Maintain knowledge of WSB's core processing system, WSB products and services, WSB policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements governing retail deposit accounts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you bring to WaterStone Bank...
Experience
Required: 1 year of sales and/or customer service experience and completion of Banker Certification within 6-8 months
Preferred: 2 - 4 years of sales and customer service experience in a sales and goals-based environment, with a strong emphasis on customer service
Education
Required: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
Preferred: Associate's Degree business or related field
Working conditions
Additionally, an individual must be flexible in work schedule and have the ability to travel between office locations if warranted and provide proof of insurance.
