Job Description:
Responsible for assisting the Merchandise Control Department and Distribution Center. Acts as a liaison between Home Office Business Partners and the MC Dept, including but not limited to:
Production Planning, Merchandise Flow, Merchandise Payables, Financial Control, Shortage Control, Planning and Allocation, among others. Position works closely with all levels of Management within the DC up to and including the GM.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
Major Areas of Responsibility:
  • Provides timely responses to MC Team's emails from various Home Office Business Partners.
  • Researches all priority and liability goods and provides information to Operations.
  • Organizes and directs operations to execute break dates, projects with merchandise, and special events; communicates back to Home Office upon completion.
  • Manages the Merchandise Adjustment Database coordinating with Operations ensuring the DC is incompliance with the Best Practice.
  • Submits store manual adjustments to Financial Control ensuring the DC's and Stores' Stock Ledgers are accurately updated. Supports and maintains the TJX Legal Hold area and processes.
  • Supports Return to Vendor, Charity, Salvage, and Samples processes. Ensures all are recorded properly for the DC's Stock Ledger.
  • Supports Year-end inventory.
  • Performs other projects, research, and job functions as assigned.
  • Special projects as needed.

Minimum formal education, if any, required to perform this job:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent job experience.

Minimum job skills required to perform this job:
  • Strong PC skills including Excel and Word and other applications
  • Strong communication skills as well as flexibility.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

Minimum experience required to perform this job:
  • 1-2 years of basic leadership or merchandising experience
