Job description

ZimZee Recruiting is looking for a Senior Design Engineer (MEMS Sensors). This position is responsible for the design, development, and continuous improvement of advanced MEMS pressure and accelerometer sensors. The ideal candidate will lead engineering efforts involving simulation, analysis, fabrication, testing, and evaluation of MEMS sensor technologies while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, production, and quality.



Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related engineering discipline
  • Extensive experience designing and developing MEMS sensors, preferably pressure and accelerometer technologies
  • Strong expertise in MEMS simulation, modeling, analysis, fabrication, testing, and evaluation
  • Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE), statistical analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing and process issues using analytical and root cause analysis techniques
  • Proficiency with CAD and engineering software tools for product design, modeling, and data analysis
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor/MEMS manufacturing processes and product commercialization
  • Experience interpreting technical drawings, schematics, specifications, and engineering calculations


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and improve MEMS pressure and accelerometer sensor products from concept through production
  • Perform simulation, analysis, fabrication support, testing, and evaluation of MEMS sensor technologies
  • Collaborate with production and manufacturing teams to improve fabrication, testing, packaging, and product yields
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for manufacturing and product performance issues
  • Utilize DOE and statistical methods to optimize manufacturing processes and improve product reliability
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, layouts, schematics, specifications, and procedures
