SUMMARY: Assists the Membership and Development Department with the day-to-day operations of membership, development, and marketing activities. Oversees and coordinates membership services, ensuring that membership records, communications, renewals, and related services are processed accurately and efficiently. Supports the department’s efforts to maintain strong relationships with members, donors, and other constituents.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Processes new and renewing memberships, including entering membership information into the fundraising database, updating constituent records, and processing renewals.

Issues, prints, and mails membership cards, passes, and other requested membership materials.

Prepares and mails monthly membership renewal requests, including updating constituent information and preparing mailing labels.

Processes donations and prepares acknowledgement and thank-you letters for donors, Habitat Club members, and Museum Partners, including obtaining the Executive Director's signature when required.

Maintains and updates accurate and up-to-date membership, donor, and constituent records in the fundraising database.

Sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail.

Prepares membership, donor, and development reports and lists, including reports for new and renewing Habitat Club members, Museum Partners, and memorial gifts.

Maintains the Habitat Club and Donor boards to reflect current memberships and donations accurately.

Assists with preparing direct-mail solicitations for membership campaigns, annual fund drives, year-end appeals, and other fundraising initiatives.

Provides courteous and timely assistance to members, donors, prospects, and the general public, including resolving membership questions and concerns with tact and diplomacy.

Assists with membership sales and promotion in person, by telephone, at membership tables, and at special events, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Maintains positive and effective relationships with a variety of constituent groups, including members, donors, prospects, and the general public.

Maintains outdoor signage for Habitat Club and Museum Partners.

Researches foundations, corporations, and philanthropic organizations; reviews and maintains relevant applications and information; prepares brief notes as appropriate; and maintains records of organizations contacted and their responses.

Assists with the preparation, processing, and filing of foundation and other development-related information.
