Job description

PLI is searching for a sales professional to fill the role of Membership Account Manager (responsibilities and qualifications are described below). SUMMARY 

Reporting to the Regional Director, Membership Sales and Account Services, the Membership Account Manager will manage a territory with an existing book of business of over $2MM. This individual will be responsible to retain accounts and grow revenue.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute specific action plans to retain and grow existing business within the assigned territory.
  • Successfully renew, cross-sell and up-sell across existing client base to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Exercise solid territory account management skills to ensure all customers receive frequent attention and support. Prioritize all incoming client requests and provides timely responses.
  • Provide product training and demonstrations through customer visits and online.
  • Acquire knowledge within specialized areas in order to effectively understand the overall needs of the customer.
  • Building relationships with law firm partners, professional development directors and practice leaders, general counsel, and in house attorneys.
  • Work with multiple departments at PLI to identify new opportunities and ways to penetrate the market.
  • Exhibit a deep knowledge of PLI Products, as well as the legal profession.
  • Occasional travel as required.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Previous legal services experience or a J.D. a plus.
  • 3 - 5 years' of relevant account management, relationship management and/or customer relations experience essential.
  • Proven ability to develop and secure relationships at all levels within a customer organization.
  • Exudes superior business acumen, poise and executive presence. Highly articulate.
  • Deadline-driven with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft Office.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Relishes on-going, self-initiated learning; assimilates new information quickly; welcomes feedback and applies knowledge to practical use on the job.

COMPENSATION RANGE FOR THIS POSITION

$62,000 - $68,000 per annum + quarterly incentive payments based on achieving targets
