The Member Solutions Specialist will preserve the Credit Union's assets by controlling delinquent loan accounts, collecting delinquent loan payments, and/or recovering collateral. This position must assist in fulfilling the mission of the credit union and act on our value proposition in order to build loyalty with our membership. Member Solutions Specialists will act on our value proposition and be easy to work with.
As the face of the organization, a Member Solutions Specialist will:
  • Build member loyalty.
  • Provide solutions for internal and external members.
  • Build and maintain product knowledge.
  • Focus on compliance and security.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Delivers outstanding service focusing on member service and member loyalty skills.
  • Inform and correspond with members in person and on the telephone regarding delinquent loans utilizing Words that Work tools and resources.
  • Perform research and audit of collection accounts.
  • Provide recommendations for charge-off, further collection activity, or strategies to recover funds.
  • Maintain queues and/or lists as well as custom notes regarding collection activity and correspondence with members and facilitate necessary follow up.
  • Serve as liaison and resource for front-line staff to understand collections options that are available to offer members or when to refer members to Member Solutions.
  • Maintains a thorough product knowledge in order to seek out opportunities to appropriately counsel and/or refer members on credit union products and services.
  • Own internal and external member problems, issues, and complaints, and ensure the appropriate follow up to achieve proper resolution.

Hours:
  • Monday - Friday 8:15am - 5:00pm or 8:45 - 5:30pm
  • Rotating Saturdays 9:00am - 12N

Salary and Benefits:
  • Starting salary is $21.22 per hour.

Experience
Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education
A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
