Job Description:

The Medical Assistant will perform clinical and administrative tasks under the direction of a physician, nurses, and other medical staff that may include scheduling appointments, manage provider schedules, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs, collecting medical histories, and preparing patients for examination.

MAs are responsible for Point of Care testing including finger sticks, collection of urine, EKGs, PFTs (Pulmonary Function Test), etc. Other responsibilities required for the position include answering patient inquiries, portal messages and phone calls. Disinfecting, cleaning, and maintaining all exam rooms and work areas. Organizing and tracking all supplies both for clinical and administrative purposes.
