Silver Stars Gymnastics is a welcoming, family-oriented gymnastics facility in Silver Spring, MD. Our mission is to help children build confidence, coordination, and character through movement and play. We offer high-quality recreational gymnastics classes for children of all ages and skill levels in a fun and safe environment.
Position Overview:

We are looking for an energetic, reliable, and enthusiastic Recreational Gymnastics Coach to join our team. This is a part-time position, ideal for individuals who enjoy working with kids and have a passion for teaching movement and gymnastics fundamentals in a positive and engaging way. This position is open to anyone who is open to learning about gymnastics and enthusiastic about fitness! If you love working with kids and are passionate about being a part of the health and wellness journey of a child's development this is for you!
Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach recreational gymnastics classes for children of all ages. (preschool to beginner/intermediate levels)
  • Deliver fun, structured lessons that focus on skill development, coordination, and confidence
  • Engage with children in a positive, encouraging, and age-appropriate manner
  • Ensure the safety of all students through proper spotting and equipment usage
  • Communicate effectively with parents and staff
  • Assist with setup and takedown of equipment
Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children in a gymnastics, dance, sports, or educational setting
  • Knowledge of basic gymnastics skills and progressions (USAG experience helpful but not required)
  • Positive attitude and ability to manage a group of young children
  • Dependable and team-oriented
  • Willing to train the right candidate if gymnastics experience is limited
  • Background check required
