Can a paralegal be sued for malpractice?

A medical malpractice paralegal can be sued for malpractice if they fail to perform their duties competently and this results in harm to a client. However, paralegals are generally not held personally liable for legal malpractice, as they work under the supervision of attorneys who are typically responsible for their actions. Proper training, supervision, and adherence to ethical standards help minimize the risk of malpractice claims against paralegals.

Will AI replace paralegals?

Medical malpractice paralegals perform tasks such as legal research, document preparation, and case organization, which can be supported by AI tools.
