Position Summary:

This position is to assemble, package and inspect medical devices in accordance with the quality and production standards established by our organization. This includes working with chemicals, machines and measurement equipment. This position must follow procedures, policies and applicable regulatory policies to meet the requirements of our Quality Policy.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Follows established procedures and guidelines to manufacture the organizations products according to specifications and schedules; volume, cost and waste targets; quality standards.
  • Operates machines and production equipment safely and in accordance with instructions.
  • Monitors the quality of output to identify, discard or remanufacture products.
  • Maintains accurate daily production records so that manufacturing performance can be collected and analyzed.

The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

  • Required to apply basic working knowledge of technical field/area of specialization. Exercises general application of principles, theories and concepts, and proposes a course of action. Performs basic level shop floor competencies.
  • Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Work is typically checked and monitored on a routine basis.
  • May require some limited judgement in resolving problems.
  • Contacts are primarily with direct supervisor, peers and subordinates.

Preferred: Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to use fine motor skills and pay attention to detail
  • Possess strong hand dexterity for intricate hand assembly
  • Problem solve to improve quality and processes, using lean tools
  • Prior manufacturing experience involving intricate hand assembly is preferred
  • Have good reading comprehension and math skills
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner, both written and verbal
  • Flexibility to work, based on business demands/needs
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to rotate across positions within the business unit
  • Have basic computer skills

Expertise: Qualifications-Experience/Training/Education/Etc

Required:

  • High school diploma/G.E.D or equivalent required.
  • 0-01 years related experience OR PBS requirements completed and pass assessment at appropriate level.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
  • Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed.
  • Regular and predictable on-site attendance.
