MH Imaging, LLC is a local organization specializing in outpatient medical imaging. We are focused on providing the best in service, quality and technology to our patients and referring physicians. We are currently recruiting for a full-time and/or part-time Medical Imaging Patient Care Coordinator (Medical Reception), at our Middleton, WI location as our practice has grown. You will work with patients and referring professionals by answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting and registering patients. There may be other duties assigned toward the goal of providing outstanding patient and physician services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Creates and ensures a positive experience for each patient and every referring office by working a manner that is as friendly, caring, helpful and efficient as possible
  • Greets and checks-in patients scheduled for imaging services, register demographic information and process payment plans and copays with patients
  • Answers phones and handles calls in an efficient and friendly manner
  • Daily calling and scheduling as many patients as possible for which we have current orders
  • Pre-certifies exams with patient’s insurance company
  • Submittal of charges to billing company
  • Handles “release of information” requests for patients, referring offices, other medical facilities, attorneys & insurance companies
  • Supports our Medical Imaging Technologists in order to ensure highest patient satisfaction. Act as liaison between Technologists and the patients waiting for exams. Must relay messages regarding scanner status and other clinic information
  • Maintains an up-to-date and accurate database on all current and potential referring physicians
  • Arranges transportation for patients when appropriate
  • Maintains front office lobby area such as straightening magazines, organizing coffee supplies, and general office clean up
  • Effective communication with patients, referring doctors, their staff members, coworkers and Radiologists
  • Ensures delivery of all information to those needing it (patient reports to referring doctors, etc).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1-2 years front office medical experience preferred

  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Desire to work within a team environment
  • Must be able to speak English
  • Medical terminology knowledge strongly preferred
  • Able to operate computer and copier/fax machines
  • Familiarity with insurance plans and ability to determine patient responsibility totals
  • Bi-lingual a plus
  • Radiology reception experience a plus
