OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY
Fox TV Stations
FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Fox 2 News (WJBK) has an immediate full-time job opening for a Photographer/Editor who will shoot and edit spot news, feature stories and sports.
Key Responsibilities:
  • The candidate will perform LiveU live shots from in and around the Detroit area on an expected daily basis.
  • Candidate must demonstrate high caliber news photography shooting and editing skills.
  • Candidate must be able to shoot and edit sometimes multiple packages per day in the field and demonstrate they are technically sound with the editing software Edius.
  • Candidate must be able to lift over fifty (50) pounds of equipment, walk carrying a tripod, batteries and Live U backpack.
  • Individual must also communicate and work well with Assignment Desk, Writers, and Reporters.

Work Environment:
  • Must be willing to work in extreme hot/cold weather conditions and be willing to work weekends, holidays, and overnights.
  • In-house conditions include studio/control room settings with temperatures ranging from 55 to 75 degrees and humidity levels from 10 to 70+ percent relative humidity.
  • Outside conditions will vary according to Michigan weather.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma required; college degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years' experience.
