Program Overview Peraton provides USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), deployed forces, CIO/J6, and end-users with high-quality IT platform and network services over an eight-year period. About The Role Peraton requires Mobile Device Support Specialist to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3 EOM. This position is located at Fort Campbell, KY. The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. Mobile Device Support Specialist * Provisions, manages, maintains, and tracks end user mobile computing devices authorized and assigned to individual personnel for secure and non-secure communications.
* Configures and maintains mobile computing devices and associated auxiliary devices as directed by the Government and in accordance with applicable DoD Cybersecurity policies, procedures, regulations, and directives.
* Baselines and maintains end user mobile computing device configurations, including STIGs, and maintains configuration control and policy management of devices.
* Assists the Government to draft mobile computing policies and procedures, implement and integrate new mobile computing services and technologies, and troubleshoot, repair, and provide logistical support for existing mobile devices.
* Interfaces directly with customers to provide training and to resolve issues related to services.
* Maintains mobile computing device utilization history, including a review of device and service usage, audits, and reconciliation of utilization.
* Coordinates and manages accountability of new equipment, replacement equipment, and upgrades, and tracks the disposition of equipment throughout its lifecycle.The specialist will also be responsible for planning, engineering, coordinating, and managing equipment installations across multiple impact levels and networks to ensure SOF professionals remain securely connected to mission-critical information. Key Duties & Responsibilities: * Configure, test, troubleshoot, issue, and receive mobile communication devices and peripherals.
* Investigate and integrate new technologies to enhance efficiency, readiness, and effectiveness within USSOCOM.
* Support the management and monitoring of systems and networks critical to USSOCOM operations.
* Escalate incidents following USSOCOM regulations, policies, and procedures.
* Provide support for laptops, tablets, wireless, and cellular technology in compliance with policies.
* Submit and track DISA certificate issuance requests, maintaining validity and revocation records.
* Configure and connect users to DISA GVS and DVS services.
* Support mobile-enabled devices and peripherals across multiple environments, networks, and security impact levels.
* Troubleshoot, repair, and provide logistical support for mobile devices.
* Provide hardware, software, website, and multimedia support.
* Manage and resolve trouble tickets using the designated corporate ticketing system.
* Troubleshoot mobile device hardware, software, and operating systems from vendors such as Apple, Samsung, and BlackBerry.
* Manage cellular lines of service, including plan adjustments, adding/removing lines, and global plan configurations.
* Administer MDM accounts, assisting with user logins and security settings.
* Download and install user signing and encryption certificates from DISA onto devices.
* Troubleshoot wireless carrier network services (voice, data, SMS, MMS, tethering, mobile hotspots, and carrier number management).
* Provide input for smartphone information system design and installation requirements.
* Maintain reference materials, including user tips, FAQs, and SOPs.
* Assist in the development and maintenance of technical and procedural documentation for enterprise mobile device configurations and support processes.
* Provide user guidance and training on enterprise mobile device functions.
* Escalate trouble tickets to Tier 3 support when necessary.
* Configure and enroll client mobile devices with approved firmware, OS patches, and security updates.
* Support enterprise mobile device refresh periods, providing Tier 2 MDM support and device deployment.
* Adhere to client property management processes and policies.
* Process replacement devices (seed stock) between vendors and end users
Qualifications Qualifications * Education & Experience:
* High School Diploma with 12 years of relevant experience
* Associates degree with 10 years of relevant experience
* Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience
* Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience
* Security Clearance:
* Active DoD TS/SCI clearance * Certifications (Required):
* DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)
* At least 2 years of previous experience working as a Mobile Device Support Specialist.
* Desired Qualifications:
* Must be DoW 8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 441 - Network Operations Specialist- Intermediate level or higher by 1 Oct 26.
* Strong knowledge of iPhone, Samsung, and BlackBerry devices, including iOS, Android OS (AOS), and emerging technologies
* Previous experience as a mobile device technician, including support for senior-level personnel
Details Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
