Interns learn to process insurance claims, code medical procedures, follow up on claim statuses, and ensure proper reimbursement for healthcare services. This internship provides practical training and exposure to healthcare billing systems, medical terminology, and compliance with regulations such as HIPAA. It's typically designed for students or recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in medical billing or healthcare administration.
