To thrive as a Medical Assistant, you need knowledge of basic clinical procedures, medical terminology, and administrative tasks, usually backed by completion of an accredited medical assistant program or certification (such as CMA or RMA). Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, scheduling software, and basic laboratory equipment is typically required. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask help Medical Assistants excel in patient-facing and team-oriented environments.
